A Day With Dad

Every summer Robert's work hosts a picnic for the families. It is a fun day, and the kids really look forward to this every summer. There is yummy food, games and prizes. I especially enjoyed it this year. It was the first time in 4 years that I didn't have to lug around a double stroller, pack a diaper bag, and prepare the night before. The kids all joined in the games and really enjoyed following Daddy around. I got to visit with my friend Cristina, and hold her cute little baby boy for a while.

Another highlight of M & J's day was that this was also "Take You Kid(s) To Work Day". They got up at 5am to get ready for "work". The night before they kept reminding me to "wake them up early" and to "not forget". So, for the morning before the picnic they were able to go to work with Robert. That's all they talked about for day's. They told me at the end of the night, "no wonder Daddy comes home so tired, he sure has to walk around a lot".

Some favorite moments at work:
Mallory ~ driving the car, riding in the elevator, getting candy
Jonah ~ getting candy, driving the car

I bet your kids really did love that. How fun that your husband's work does that! My kids love when every once in a long while they get to have lunch with Aaron in his work cafeteria or something, they would really love getting to go to work with him.

This is great Amy. We recently had an event at Dustin's work (the first one since 9/11) where we could tour his work and have some fun. Kimberly had a blast. I'm so glad your kids got to do this.
