Baby Talk

We are having a baby!

Number five will make his or her appearance next summer - end of June.

One evening at dinner time we told the kids, "We are having another baby". The twins weren't exactly sure what we were saying, but Mallory and Jonah had the biggest smiles on their faces. Jonah said, "mom, are you joking"? His smile had a hint of disbelief in it. Finally, I convinced him that we weren't playing a joke on him. This is a dream come true for him. He loves babies! More then puppies!

The kids are in agreement that this one needs to be a boy, except for Jonah, he wants two boys. He asks me often," Did you pray for twin boys today"?

Mallory wants twin boys so our family can be equal.

Kennedy asks questions like: What is the baby wearing?, Does it talk?, What kind of baby is it?(not sure what she means by that: does she think that I could give birth to a puppy? or maybe she wants to know if it's a boy or girl.) :)

And little Emery-Lou, she is just going with the flow right now. No questions from her yet.

I love all of their questions. It really opens the door for some good conversation.

Congratulations!!! How cute your kids are so excited. :) And that is really cool that you and Ness are due the same time, even same day right? How fun! That would be so crazy if you had another set of twins. :)

haha, Amy I just laughed out loud when you said my kids look SO cooperative for pictures. Honestly, they are bribed one way or another every time. Seriously, lately what I've done is include "let mom take pictures" on their point charts, so they get extra points for being cooperative for me. ;)
But what made me laugh is that when I took the picture currently in my header, we were by the fence near our neighborhood, and I was constantly saying "look at mom" "smile" "Deacon, look at the camera" "Levi, smile!" and such, and this guy on the other side of the fence calls out, "Is everything okay over there?" to which Aaron laughed and told him everything was fine, we were just trying to take pictures. :)
I also do a lot of fun editing with a free online program called picnik. You can give it a try www.picnik.com, I love to contrast my pictures, lighten them, add a matte or vignette, etc. Turns normal pictures into great pictures in just a few clicks, and is really quite user friendly if you just play around with it a bit.

Congratulations, to you all. Do you still have all your baby things? I do think there is a little rooting for a brother for Jonah. He will be more than a little out numbered otherwise. Take care.
